Captain-Commissar Micheal Valois hails from the Valois bloodline, a relatively new family in the Empire compared to lines such as the Jenkins Family, but in their short time have already made a huge impact on the Empire's history, mostly with the Military and specifically, the Imperial Commissariat. Several members of the Valois family have served high positions in the Commissariat, and Micheal himself has not disappointed in that same area. During the Rose War (or whatever it's called), he served with high distinction as the Regimental Commissar of the 1st Regiment in Lord-General Jenkins' 2nd Legion, and therefore served also as the Lord-General's adviser from the Commissariat and, off the books, a close confidant. It was there that he learned and became a devout follower of the God-Emperor, but only those who also are followers will recognize the subliminal signs that show, such as the Aquila on the side of his cap and the Infantryman's Primer he carries around in his inside Jacket pocket, along with the quotes from the various religious books about the God-Emperor.
While Valois is many years elder then Commissar Jenkins, he is not to be underestimated. A single white scar runs from the center of his forehead down the left side of his face to his jaw, and while a blow like that would normally blind a man, the blade that ruined his good looks barely missed his eye by less then a width of a hair. But the rest of the scar is his main physical feature.
