The name Kain does not simply refer to the current character, but a long family line of adventurous, would-be business Kobolds who pass their knowledge of the outside world down to the next Kain so that he may continue their quest to bring many shinies to the Warren.
This succession is mostly inheritance based; one Kain will tell his family where he is planning on adventuring and, if he does not return to the main Warren, another Kain will be sent on a quest to recover his predecessors body and, more importantly, his maps, compasses, as well as any shinies he may have found.
On their quest to bring about prosperity to Koboldkind, the Kains have made many an advancement to Boldy Civilization.
A Kain is responsible for the creation of “Kassal Kobold,” a crude fortification cobbled together from the ruins in which the Kobolds make their home and various other materials.
It was this Kain that also created the first Totems; short crude statuettes constructed from a Jack-o-lantern for a head and Torches for arms, believed to ward off foul spirits or “Spooky Spooks” by evoking the wrathful image of the Kobold’s Shiny Sun God, Bathymutt.
Other accomplishments include the founding of “Kain’s Sumur Hume”; an once abandoned house the Kain family hopes to make into the first of a series of trading post.
This Warren away from Warren is where the current Kain can most likely be found, if not trying to upkeep Kassal Kobold or out adventuring.
