Due to OOC chatter about our area from us and other races, I believe there might be too much meta-knowledge floating around about where the general area of the warren is.
So I think it may be time to consider switching up our place of living, as well as possibly enacting a rule about no discussing the surroundings of the warren in OOC. Any thoughts?

I would tend to agree. Its my fault for a large portion of it and for that I apologize. I just get excited. However, I will keep it on the down-low from now on.

Still doesn't mean we can't consider alternate areas for when da humies an pointears start wandering closer in larger numbers.
Maybe the desert or mountains? They might be big enough.

Theres also the nigh impenetrable jungle biome to the west. On the other side of that is a birch forest but that would move us further from the humans. Desert isn't viable because sand and sandstone falls, if we could dig into stone it might work. I'd maybe even think about moving closer to the dwarves and being all bro-fist with them. Could be their surface forces and scouts to some extent for much shinies.

Dorfs hate elves, elves hate us. The enemy of my enemy and all that. I'd support that or digging into the jungle, but I'd like to hear Glimkin and the other's opinions first.

Just as a reminder, the swamps ARE kobold territory, and as such, are subject to the same protections as any other race area. Anywhere else we build would be subject to the rules regarding racial territory and destruction without warning.
This warren in the ruins is an experiment in NOT having a totally hidden base. Lets try and run with it a bit longer.

You're free to go set up somewhere else if you want, you simply won't have the building protection that the swamps afford you. Just remember that you may log in one day and thanks to a careless Kobold find your home on fire and you on fire and agagrhadghajbfjgahfg.

I'm pretty content with the Warren. With recent events theres a lot of 'bold sympathizers. Hell, the former Arbiter of Southbridge is offering us sanctuary when we come to the town. I'm not too worried about people attacking the Warren itself. In fact, I feel pretty safe in RP now.

Ah, good to hear. Although I would like to know more about this building protection you speak of.

Where you are, people cannot just come in and destroy your warren, they can still raid and slaughter and take back their things, but put simply, it's your territory and the build itself is afforded protection.
You build anywhere else they can raze the thing and magma the entire area should they chose.

By "anywhere else," Mort means outside of our lovely little swamp archipelago, not outside of the exact location we currently reside. If it really comes down to it, we could pack up and find a new place to live within our territory, it just won't be the ruins of an ancient castle that sunk into the swamp. Probably. I mean how many of those can there possibly be?
